Opsound is yet another great site online further empowering and inspiring the electronic music generation, peer to peer file sharing, and community collaborative environments… Thats what this site AudioArsenal, ultimately is about as well…

Opsound is an experimental record label and open sound pool organized through the opsound.org website. It is a kind of laboratory for looking at how artists can release music in a manner synergistic with the internet’s capacity to encourage communication and sharing. Opsound explores the possibilities of developing a gift economy among musicians, borrowing from the model of the open source software community.

TRS80, Electro Music from Chicago

I was checking out the FenslerFilm site and came across a link to this very experimental and moody electronic act TRS80 based in Chicago. Not only do they have a great sound, but their named after the coolest retro almost analog stylee computer! I remember buying one of these from radio shack!

Chemical Brothers Remixed Site

Recently I downloaded both this mashup/remix compilation and the previous one these guys did for the Prodigy… It seems as though both The Chemical Brothers and The Prodigy were cool with these projects… which I think is even more cool. Its very well done and worth downloading, but please donate to one of their relief charities on the way out…

Not content with the unprecedented international success of their last remix project, the team behind “Always Outsiders, Never Outdone”, the unofficial Prodigy Remixed album, have only gone and done it again. This time the Chemical Brothers latest album “Push the Button” gets the remix treatment.

The DJs behind “Flip the Switch” see the remix album as a natural part of the evolution of UK dance music. In a recent interview, Ed was quoted as saying “We used to make cut-ups or DJ mixes for ourselves to play. Bootleg culture isn’t a new thing. It’s something people do - take snatches from other people’s records and make a DJ mix.

While looking through some recent mp3 recommendations, I literally just found this very cool Los Angeles based Electro Indie Japanese Underground Pop label Eenie Meenie Records. They have a great selection of their artists tracks online. I have only listed a few of my favorites…

Virgin Tears Runway Mixes
